A sister for Alice Violet ?

I'm due in a few weeks, and we just cannot agree on names for a girl. Any suggestions what would go well with DD1 Alice Violet? We like classic flowery/planty names, and I'd also like some sort of book reference (like Alice in Wonderland!)

How about Veronica, shortened to Vera? I wouldn't have thought of it, but I follow a blogger who's daughter has this name and it seems to suit her, and would go with Alice.

Hazel Jane

Frances -after Frances Hodgson Burnett author of the secret garden. Or Mary after the little girl in it. Or Sara after lead in little princess by the same author. Pauline, Petrova or Posy or Sylvia after ballet shoes characters. Wendy from Peter Pan. Heidi. Arietty from the borrowers. Lucy or Susan from the lion, witch and the wardrobe. Anne (of greengables). Pippi (long stocking), Matilda (roalf Dahl),Sophie (bfg& sophies world). From these, I like Heidi, Arietty, Sophie and Sara best. Poppy is a sweet flower name as is Iris (though may be too close to Alice).

Iris for a middle name would match perfectly! I love Meredith Iris....and Polly for Pollyanna is nice :) the Little Women all have lovely names.

Other ideas (trying to think of books!)

Matilda Iris
Katherine Iris (could shorten to Katy, for What Katy did?)

Elizabeth Rose (Elizabeth Bennet)
Rebecca May? (Sunnybrook farm)

Something Shakespearean? Beatrice goes nicely with Alice
