Yes, I lived next to a Roman. He's 4 now.

HappyJoyful · 29/05/2013 17:14

...Abramovich

would suggest it's 'popular' in Polish, Czech, Russian countries.. though have family in Eastern Europe and not heard it on any new babies.

Choccyhobnob · 29/05/2013 17:15

I know one who is about 7

CPtart · 29/05/2013 17:18

I know one of 4.

ktp693 · 29/05/2013 17:20

LittleMissLucy · 29/05/2013 17:22

Love it also. Not met a child Roman yet.

HappyJoyful · 29/05/2013 17:23

I don't think it's very out there.. many will just assume it's foreign I think, which isn't obviously an issue but something to consider.

AllegraLilac · 29/05/2013 17:49

I know one born a week ago. I wish I was lying, but she named him after Nicki Minaj.

SneezySnatcher · 29/05/2013 19:16

I know a Roman who is three. When I first heard the name I was Hmm but I actually like it now.

ktp693 · 29/05/2013 20:33

She named her child after Nicki Minaj's alter ego? Hmm
I know its a popular name in America was just curios about how popular it is anywhere else?

I know of two I think. One around 7 and one who is 1. I like it.

mrsXsweet · 29/05/2013 21:05

I think one of Melanie Syke's children might be called Roman, a useful piece of information I am sure u will agree!

JazzAnnNonMouse · 29/05/2013 23:14

Never met one.
Quite like it as a name Smile

dimplebum · 29/05/2013 23:16

Yes! DS2 is named roman. I've only ever met another roman! He is 2!

IHeartKingThistle · 29/05/2013 23:17

I also know one who is 4. I wonder if 4 of us know 4 different 4 year olds or if we all know the same one!

Manchesterhistorygirl · 29/05/2013 23:19

Know one who is 7, love it.

soontobeslendergirl · 30/05/2013 00:02

I know one coming up 6 - he was named after an Italian holiday - they are not of eastern European origin.

forgetmenots · 30/05/2013 15:22

I really like it but couldn't use it, wouldn't go with surname, heritage, you name it, but I think it's dashing!
