Help with boys names pretty please

So, just found out that DB number 2 is a boy. Slightly in shock and think it would help to have a list of names to get my head around having a boy but so far we've only got girls names.

Our DD's name is Sofya - Russian version of Sophia pronounced as it is spelled Sof (rhymes with cough) ya (more of a 'yuh' sound).

Names on our girls list for this one: Nova, Bobbie, Ottillie, Odessa, Coralie, Clover

Please give me some suggestions for boys! Generally prefer something a little unusual but not totally off the wall. DH won't go for anything that sounds like DS should go to Eton.

Thank you! Out of those I really like Otto and Conrad though I don't think I'll sell DH on Conrad.

Keep 'em coming if you don't mind!

Victor? Feels similar to Otto and Conrad, and goes well with Sofya...

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 20/05/2013 16:45

DH won't go for anything that sounds like DS should go to Eton that rules out lots then, like Damian, Zachary, David, Hugh, Dominic...

Thanks so much everyone. There's some good ones in there (including my DH's name!). Can't get my head around Victor (stupidly perhaps because of Victor Meldrew) but liking Eli lots!

What do you all think of Malachy and Laurie?

OP posts:
Shybairns · 20/05/2013 20:28

Only do Malachy if you are irish. And Laurie is very feminine.
I like Milo, Indiana, Reuben, Cassius.

bootsycollins · 20/05/2013 20:31

I love Sergio

Lozza70 · 20/05/2013 20:31

Sacha, Russian shortening of Alexander could go will with your wee girls name. Other's I love Milo, Luca, Rocco, Xavier.

Ivan

Anton
Timothy

Well I'm half Irish and DH is Jewish (malachi is a Jewish name) so thought Malachy might be a nice nod to both.

Yes, Laurie is too feminine - still can't get my head around this boy thing.

I love Sacha but I think in the UK it's such a girl's name that it might not be fair on him. I have been browsing lists of Russian names though.

Anton is great. Maybe I like Stefan too? I like the sound of Ivo but think DH will have that on his Eton list.
