James definitely, love it.

Quite like Jacob.

Don't like Joel at all.

Love Jacob - but biased as I have one. Not as popular as I thought it might be here (NE England), only know 2 others and 1 was due to DH's work colleague only really thinking of the name when we used it and asking if we minded if she also called her DS it.

James is lovely but we were always put off by the fact that we knew people of our generation called James - I guess that's because it's a classic but we wanted a name that wasn't the same as anyone we knew.

James, then Jacob. Joel waaay down after those two.

Report
Ruprekt · 21/05/2013 20:47

Joel as it is a bit different.

Jacob as I like the nn Jake.

Not James.....too dull and safe.

Jacob, Joel, James. Joel to reduce chance of forever having surname appended at school.

James buy a million miles.

Jacob is too biblical and a bit boring, Joel reminds me of cheesy DJ's JK and Joel.

Report
mrstowers · 23/05/2013 14:13

James if you don't mind that it's going to be the next Harry!

Report
Decoy · 23/05/2013 18:05

Jacob is too biblical

James is Biblical too, there are a few Jameses in the Bible including a disciple.
