Help with a girl's middle name please

Currently 28 weeks pregnant with our first baby and don't know the gender. Favourite girl name is Poppy but struggling to think of a middle name. Surname is a single syllable, beginning with L, which means names with l sound odd, such as Ella. I also would like a name that didn't end with y/ie. Obviously other flower names are out, but I do love Irish names. I'm of Irish descent but in the UK so think the spelling would be less of an issue as a middle name.

All ideas welcome! Thanks

Do you have any family names?

Ds has Paul as a middle name after dh's Grandfather.

Dd2has Jessie after my Gran. Her first name is Rachel after dh's Grandma who died 2 weeks before she was born.

I'd say don't go for the obvious current middle names - like Grace, May/Mae, Rose.

Choose something that means something that you love!

I'd go for something like

Poppy Katherine

Irish names, I first thought of Niamh although quite popular.

If spelling/pronunciation really isn't an issue:

Saoirse
Sadhbh

Otherwise I like

Roisin
Siofra
Erin (not technically Irish but a nod to it none the less)
Emerald (I really love this, it's not Irish but my irish friend just used it, said she felt it was 'Irish in spirit', plus I think it goes with Poppy and a shorter surname)

Poppy Fiona
Poppy Caoimhe
Poppy Aine
Poppy Iona
Poppy Una
Poppy Abigail
Poppy Shona
Poppy Oriana
Poppy Murrin

Thanks for your ideas. No family names really fit / are nice. Carol and Gladys! Other ideas are welcome.

I forgot to say, but i also agree that Hope/ Grace are out as too common amongst friends.

Also happy to consider non Irish names.... Thanks
