How would you pronounce Esme?

I think this is beautiful pn Es-may but ordinary pn Es-me. Would I be fighting a losing battle against a tide of Es-me if we used this?

I'm Es-Me too...you have to put an accent line over the last E if you want it pronounced Es-May...I think that's right,I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!

I've never heard es-me. Only Es-may. It has an accent on the last e for that reason doesn't it?

Es may. Never heard it pn ad es me. I think if you correct people enough they learn. DS has a name which you can pn 2 ways and its been fine. Now he corrects people himself
