Jessica is pretty.
Lynn is middle-aged.
Bethany - just not my cup of tea, no real reason why.

Rhubarbgarden · 02/05/2013 22:15

They're all yellow!

Sorry, synaesthetic moment there. I think I prefer Beth but I'm having trouble getting past the lemony haze to be honest.

themilkmonster · 03/05/2013 08:12

Jessica & Bethany both nice names- like the nicknames Jess and Beth too.

Don't like Lynn at all sorry. As pp said, it does sound like a middle aged woman. I can't imagine a baby Lynn at all.

They're all lovely names.

Jessica is pretty, perhaps the most popular of your choices if that bothers you? I only know of one baby Jessica though.

Lynn is nice, and quite unusual. I prefer the Lynne spelling.

Bethany/Beth is my favourite of your list.

soontobeslendergirl · 03/05/2013 09:34

Jessica - really popular but nice
Lynn - a bit 70s rather than classic with class it with Karen and Linda etc
Bethany - where I live its quite common - and I don't mean popular. Sorry. Beth on it's own is nice strangely.

JohnSnowsTie · 03/05/2013 15:09

How about Liv instead of Lynn?

I also like Beth on it's own - have heard it's Scottish (though everyone will assume it's short for Elizabeth).

MummyBurrows · 03/05/2013 15:17

I love Jessica,if DHs sister wasn't called that it would of been my first choice for DC2!

Don't like Lynn for a first name, would make a lovely middle name though!

Not keen on Bethany but only because all the (adult) ones I know are gobby brats that think the sun shines out their backside! All the Beths I know on the other hand are some of the nicest girls/women I know :)

fussychica · 03/05/2013 16:09

Like Jessica & Bethany though prefer Beth but I don't like Lynn much - how about Livia or Laurel?

butterflybuns · 03/05/2013 17:12

Just registered our dd today as Bethany May so that is my favourite. I love Bethany or Beth for short, DH calls her Bee. I've never met a Bethany at any age so I don't think its a popular or common name round here.

butterflybuns · 03/05/2013 17:16

Not keen on Lynn at all, its a middle aged mum name. Jess/ Jessica is lovely.

usualsuspect · 03/05/2013 17:22

I think Lynn is a lovely name.

I like a lot of 1970s type names though.

Jaskla · 03/05/2013 17:23

Really don't like Lynn - can only imagine it on a 45+ year old woman.

Not keen on Bethany as I'm not a huge fan of names that will inevitably be shortened after a child is aged 3+.

Do really like Jessica though.

Startail · 03/05/2013 17:23

Bethany
Jessica
I don't move in baby circles any more, but I know the odd older Jess and two Beth's (a Bethan and a Bethany)

Lynn

For the reasons stated

Still18atheart · 03/05/2013 17:30

Jessicae - love
Lynn - middle aged
Bethany - love

TallulahBetty · 03/05/2013 19:59

All a bit "meh" to me. Inoffensive but dull. Sorry
