Relative just names their baby this. Not sure if I like it or not. Can't make my mind up whether it's gorgeous or just too flowery Smile

Gorgeous, I have one! Love it as everyone can say and spell it but it isn't that common

KittenofDoom · 01/05/2013 18:43

It's lovely, a combination of two classic names that run together beautifully without sounding frilly. And if she turns out to be a more minimalist type of person, she can abbreviate to either Rose or Anna.

scaevola · 01/05/2013 18:43

Lovely.

LittlePandaBear · 01/05/2013 18:58

My big Sis is one and I always preferred her name to mine growing up. She's Rosey to her friends.

raisah · 01/05/2013 19:39

A very timeless classic name. Lovely choice for a baby aswell as an adult.

Dolallytats · 01/05/2013 20:02

I like it. It was on my list, but DH didn 't like it.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 01/05/2013 20:05

Lovely.

olivertheoctopus · 01/05/2013 20:10

Love it.

GRW · 01/05/2013 21:33

It's the name of the singer Chris de Burgh's daughter, and he wrote a song called for her called For Rosanna. I like the name.

Lovely name

Springforward · 01/05/2013 21:43

Do you like the song Rosanna? That popped into my head when I read your thread title. (Think by Toto?)

Sanjifair · 01/05/2013 22:24

Ooh, like it.

Mintyy · 01/05/2013 22:27

Totally love Rosanna. Have been bigging it up (along with Susannah) on Mumsnet for years.

Interesting take on the baby names topic = use it to sound out opinions on another person's choice Hmm

Frikadellen · 02/05/2013 13:09

I think it is pretty

SucksToBeMe · 02/05/2013 13:14

That is the name I've always wanted for my DD. unfortunately I've had to pick the name of a relative who has recently passed away, so am using it as a middle name instead. Go for it!

NotTreadingGrapes · 02/05/2013 13:17

Here you can find:
Rosanna (row-zanna)
Rossana (ross-arna)
Rossanna (ross-anna)

Most of the ones I know are Rossana. I always pn it wrong and get told off. I don't like it, but that's because I suppose it's a bit middle aged 40something here, which I guess it isn't in the UK.

Exhaustipated · 02/05/2013 13:59

How would everyone pronounce it? I thought it was Rose anna?

Exhaustipated · 02/05/2013 14:12

Forgot to say I love it. Was on shortlist for DD but DH not keen.

Minty82 · 02/05/2013 20:11

Absolutely love it -it's the name of a very good friend and I loved the idea of naming DDI after her, but DH doesn't like 'spliced together names'. I had to ditch Marianne on the same grounds, which I also think is gorgeous.

RugbyWidow7 · 03/05/2013 21:30

My name is Rosanne - I love Rosanna. It's very similar to mine and I think they're so feminine and have always loved it. Different but classic.
