Georgina?

Thoughts? I think the nickname Georgie is really cute, but I'm not sure if the full version is overused at this point... What sorts of stereotypes come with it? Looking to flesh out our girls' list.

My DDs name, we used with the intention of nn Georgie but it's never stuck!

Good to know, LegArmpits (nice handle, btw). We're having twins, and other names in the running are Felicity/Philippa/Vivienne for girls and Felix/Maxwell/Isaac for boys.

Thinking Felicity and Georgina (Flick and Georgie) could be a nice pairing if we got a set of girls.

Georgie is cute, but I dislike Georgina.

Much prefer Georgia.

I love nn George or Georgie but I don't love the full Georgina.

I've known a couple over the years and they've all been totally different so I'm not sure about the stereotype. One was a tomboy, the other a real girly girl and the other really quirky and alternative. All lovely girls though!

Ps, I love Tilly and Georgie for twins!

Georgia is not as nice as Georgina which is a lovely classical name. I also live Stephanie.

Georgina is a good classic name, I know two who go by Gina as their nn.

I know a three year old Georgina her nn is Gee.

It is a nice name but I do know a few under five.

Georgina is a nice name (and a "proper" name). I like Georgiana but it rhymes with vagina so couldn't ever use it.

I would pronounce Georgiana as geor-jee-anna, that's how Mr Darcy says it so must be right Wink

I am biased as I have a Georgia nn Georgie.

It is a fab name. I didn't actually pick it - my stepson did.

I also like Georgina, Georgiana and Georgette, which I think deserves a resurgence.
