One of my most favourite names ever. I would have had a Louisa if I'd had a baby girl.

I think both Louisa and Lola are cute. Louisa is more grown u o guess. Lola might seem a bit silly on a grown woman but Lola is adorable on a little girl

Gorgeous name, but why the nickname? Either call her Lola, or stick to Louisa, or Lou for short. Nicknames that are so different to the original, or stand alone in their own right, just gets confusing, imho.

I want something serious on the birth certificate, Areyoumad. I like Lola but I don't think it passes the High Court judge test. And I like Louisa - I envision using the two interchangeably, just Lola more in family situations and Louisa more in formal situations.

Lula is a nn for Louisa according to my baby name book, Jojay, so Lola is not such a stretch. I'm just not keen on Lou. Also Louisa is a family name, and the last holder of it shortened it to Lou.

I like Louise as well as Louisa :).
Lulu is a more usual nn, I think, but it is so babyish.
Lola is just a meh name in my ears.
