Posted a little while ago, we've got a brother for Wilf(red) on the way in July.

My faves (in order)

Rafferty
Gilbert (nn Gill,Gilly, Bert, Bertie - although a good friend's dog is called this!)
Heathcliff (nn Heath)
Herbert (nn Herbie)
Barnaby (nn Barney)

Assume we'll use a nn where written. Thoughts?!?

Love love love Rafferty and Barnaby. High up on our list. Not a fan of Heathcliff sadly, for the all too obvious literary ref, possibly a middle name? But go for it, if this makes you only love it more!! Wilfred is a great name.

suspiria · 09/04/2013 20:21

Rafferty, Barnaby and Gilbert are my favourites

Posterofapombear · 09/04/2013 20:22

Love Barnaby.

Not keen on the rest really.

almostanotherday · 09/04/2013 20:23

I like Heath just by itself.

mummyloveslucy · 09/04/2013 20:34

Another vote for Barnaby. It's what we'd call our son if we had one. Smile

LittleMilla · 09/04/2013 20:55

Worried Barnaby might be a bit popular?

He'd only ever be known as Heath so maybe I get over my obsession with full names! Ha.

Please throw in any more in this style if you think they could work.

DH and I still aren't agreed on one name Grin

Herbert is great, and you have Bertie as an option as well as Herbie.

Heath is much nicer than Heathcliff unless you want everyone singing "Catheeeeeeeee! Catheeeeeeeee!" every 5 minutes thinking how original they are.

Barnaby/Barney also OK, but not keen on the other two.

formicaqueen · 09/04/2013 23:15

Like them all but Rafferty is tops with the NN Rafe.

PurpleStorm · 09/04/2013 23:20

Barnaby is the only one of those I like.

itsnothingoriginal · 10/04/2013 09:25

Loving Gilbert - such fond memories of Gilbert Blythe

Like the others but that would be my fave..

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/04/2013 16:44

Love Barnaby. Not fond of the others and I'm sorry but I think Heathcliff is really silly.

FriggFRIGG · 10/04/2013 16:54

Love Barnaby and Rafferty,i like Herbert too...not keen on the others.

fussychica · 10/04/2013 17:03

No to Herbert (poor soul) - of the other Heath is nice - but drop the cliff.
