If dc1 starts with A, can dc2 start with B, and at what point does it become silly?

Just that really...!

It wouldn't even cross my mind, unless you went on to have another five children with alphabet consecutive letters!

Sanctimumious · 07/04/2013 19:49

I know a family who did this and got as far as g.

I'd say it gets noticeable at about c. Silly ? I don't know. Silly would be sticking to the same letter like the duggars.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/04/2013 20:54

I'd say that if it's A and B people would be unlikely to notice but by C it would be daft.

nooka · 07/04/2013 20:56

My cousins children go A, B, C and D. I think it is slightly silly and a bit limiting (what if you get to child 3/4 and prefer names from the end of the alphabet to C/D names?)

Ihatepeas · 07/04/2013 21:45

I used to nanny for 4 children A,B,C and D. No one ever commented.

KittenOfDoom · 08/04/2013 00:26

I doubt if I would even notice, and if I did I would just think it a neat coincidence and give it no further thought.

mathanxiety · 08/04/2013 02:56

People might notice, but so what?

DonDrapersAltrEgoBigglesDraper · 08/04/2013 03:11

I might notice once it got to D or E, but I'd assume it was a coincidence.

MusicalEndorphins · 08/04/2013 04:30

I may notice if I were alert that day, but I see nothing wrong with it. Kind of a cute idea.

A and B I would not even notice. Maybe by C and D I would.

MayTheOddsBeEverInYourFavour · 08/04/2013 04:51

I would notice by c or d but I think it's lovely, I certainly wouldn't comment negatively on it

SavoyCabbage · 08/04/2013 05:11

My friend did this and I only noticed when other people started suggesting only names starting with D for her 4th child.
