Are we very dull?

DC2 due in October. Girl's name all picked (Constance). Boy's name causing some debate. Here is our short list so far, but I'm worried it's very dull.

Frederick (DH's fav, but I'm worried it's too popular)
Samuel
Joseph
Robert (prob my fav, as I like the nn potential but is it very safe and boring?)

I love Constance for a girl its lovely, I also love robert for a boy its my youngests middle name, samuel would be my next choice. I have Logan, Alyssa and charles, but he gets called charlie bob for short.

Not Boring at all. In my opinion strong traditional names suit boys best. From your list I love Frederick and Robert. As far as popularity is concerned I know of 1 little Robert, several Samuels and Josephs but no littlr Fredericks

They are all nice names. Of the boys, I like Frederick best.

Thanks. I know a few little Freddies and I do think it's very cute. I really like Robbie, Bertie and Bobby as nn for Robert but will have to accept he'll want to be called Rob when he's older, which I like less.

I agree, Charles gets called bob by big sis&bro i like bob and bobby better than Rob.

I don't think Frederick/Freddie is that popular, or certainly not round here. He would be the only one in that class.

I slightly regret not using Robert, but DS2 is known as Bobby anyway so it doesn't matter.

A really dull boy list imho would be "Jack or Harry?" as every other little boy I know is one of those!
