Well we did sort of like Levi but got a lot of negative feedback from various people. My grandfather thought it was a joke! We're now thinking of Simeon. Anyone got anything negative to say?

Nice biblical name ( makes me think of Joseph and the technicolour dreamcoat) but it also makes me think of ....simian.... 'pertaining to apes'

However, if you like the name, go for it. It's your child and it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

If he's anything like DS1 he'll look like a slightly-less-hairy baby monkey for the first 6 months so that link may not be completely inappropriate!

I quite like it though probably prefer Simon (also good biblical connection if you like that idea) and it is surely due a revival.

Would the nickname be Sim, like a Sim from the Sims game?

Just realized I've no clue how to pronounce this - Si (as in sin) or Sy (as in sign)?

Love it! I know a Simeon known as Sim or sometimes Simmy. I genuinely can't understand why it's not more popular.

I like Simmy, DH likes Sim yes, like the computer game! His middle name will be John. I quite like SJ as a nn too, maybe for when he seems a bit old to be 'Simmy'!

Don't like Simmy and SJ is (imho) v v silly. But Simeon is fab.

I LOVE Simeon and its shortened version, 'Sim'. I think its different and cool but not in a trendy way IYSWIM and its a name we would love if we had a ds.

Love it. It was on our list but DH is rather ape like so I was a bit concerned about the simian connection.

Don't like it, sorry, Really don't like it mostly because of the sound and also because of the 'pertaining to monkeys' connection.

There are so many other beautiful biblical names for boys that I would be more inclined to choose. Just my opinion, though :)

Levi would be soooooooo good if the jeans hadn't ruined it!
