I heard this name today and thought it sounded unusual and very pretty. Sort of along the same lines as Martha.

What do you think? Possible name for dd?

I know a Marla.
She's lovely.

I keep wanting to turn it into Marlon when I see it written down, but it does sound pretty when said out loud, so not sure.

LuluLovesYou · 04/03/2013 20:53

Don't like it at all!

:-) I heard it in Spain but it sounded like it could work well in english. Another name for the list, methinks!

I think of a Marla as being a 50 yr old American trophy wife with a very orange face and big lips. Probably has affairs with presidents who then have to resign.

Grin Grapes.

How about Marta - I love this name; so chic and elegant, and think it has it all over Martha...

Says middle aged American to me I'm afraid

Marta is great though. Or how about just Mara?
