Albert and Ernest

I like traditional, grandad names. My son is Albert ("Bert") and a lot of the other names I like are very popular (Samuel, Fred, Joseph, Harry).

I keep coming back to Ernie but I can't have Bert and Ernie can I???

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Probably not, no Hmm

Nice names though!

I know you didn't ask for suggestions but here goes anyway.

Stanley
Oswald
Arthur
Edward
William
Walter

Any help?

MooseyMouse · 03/03/2013 08:57

Thanks. I know you're right. The other suggestions are lovely. I love Arthur but I'm not sure I like Art. I like Edward a lot too.

Herbert- Herb/Herbie
Laurence- Laurie
Montgomery- Monty
Reginald- Reggie
Ronald- Ronnie

Thanks. I quite like Herbie actually - very cute.

How about Arnold (Arnie) goes very well with Albert imo.

RustyBear · 03/03/2013 19:21

I know a family who have 3 boys, Sidney, Albert and Reginald (Reg) plus a girl, Lily.

agnesrose86 · 03/03/2013 19:23

I have an Arthur (never Art) and an Oscar, who was very nearly Albie but I felt Arthur and Albie was too much together. I love Ernie/Ernest. Edward is nice too.

agnesrose86 · 03/03/2013 19:25

Herbert and Albert are very similar, more so than Albert and Ernest.

Thanks everyone. There are some lovely suggestions here. Maybe I need to keep having kids so I can have an Arnie, an Arthur and an Oscar too. Oh and a Sid - I like that as well! Lots to think about... Many thanks for taking the time to help. I'll update when we eventually decide!
