Oscar could be shortened to Ossy. Which I personally don't like.

Do like Finlay and Fin.

Am laughing because my two boys are called Oscar and Finlay! Have to say irritating when Oscar shortened to 'ossie' a la ossie ardilles- we tend to shorten to 'oscie' which is cute!
Hand on heart like both names still but love fin/Finlay!

My sons had a cute little book called "Oscar got the blame" about an imaginary friend who did lots of naughty things, so Oscar for me.

Congratulations on your girl. When I was having DS we said Finley for a boy or Finlay for a girl.

It is becoming a unisex name and I know a little girl whom it really suits. DS is Finley but mostly Finn.
