Noah or Jude..?

So ds3's arrival is imminent and we have been changing our minds between these two for the past 9 months...
I know they are both quite popular at the moment but love them both. Our surname begins with I and is 2 syllables. Thinking James as a middle name for Noah but not sure about what with Jude.
Would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

How about Jude Noah ...?

youmaycallmeSSP · 24/02/2013 09:09

Jude. There are zillions of Noahs under 5 here.

Ellie78 · 24/02/2013 10:05

Have thought about combining the two but to be honest am secretly holding one back in case we go for dc4 which would undoubtedly be another boy!

Love love Jude.

Jude William

Jude Stephen

Jude Richard

Definitely polysyllabic for middle name.

Blanketsandpillows · 24/02/2013 14:22

They are both lovely names. I think I marginally prefer Jude though.

Anjou · 24/02/2013 14:28

Jude is absolutely lovely and pretty timeless, (in my opinion anyway!). Name preferences are such a personal thing, but I would agree that Noah is incredibly popular (don't want to say 'common') and I think it might date quite quickly due to how many there have been in 5-6 year period. If that doesn't bother you though, just go with your heart! Good luck! Smile

nectarini1983 · 24/02/2013 20:44

I like both but Noah just so popular. ..in Kent any way. He prob wouldnt be the only Noah in his classyat school.

Just hard to put a middle name with Jude with it being so blunt.

Good luck!

I have a Noah (Noah Elliott B), my friend has a Jude. I like them both. Jude is slightly less popular than Noah though (He's 7, so it wasn't particularly popular when we chose it!)

3monkeys3 · 24/02/2013 21:27

We have a Jude! He is 4 and we've only ever encountered one other.

Ellie78 · 25/02/2013 09:19

Thanks everyone. Baby Noah arrived last night. He looks more like a Noah than a Jude so will save Jude for the next one :-)

Nancy66 · 25/02/2013 12:52

Both lovely names but as others have said NOah is very popular and will, I suspect, be the next Jack

Nancy66 · 25/02/2013 12:53

Shit....sorry, just read that you have called him Noah!

Congratulations and ignore what i said.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 25/02/2013 13:02

Yay congratulations Thanks

I just popped on here to vote for Noah as I love it !

Classsic IMHO, and reminds me of a very sexy tennis player from a few years back ! Also all those animal associations are quite cute and cool I think Smile
