Beatrix, definitely. Love it. Agree that India is trying too hard and Kitty isn't a real name. It's a close friend's nickname, but she is Katharine.

India

ZolaBuddleia · 24/02/2013 17:36

I like India the most

FellatioNels0n · 24/02/2013 17:57

I don't like Beatrix at all. I quite like India and Kitty, equally.

Adore Beatrix. Kitty reminds me of her out of X factor, the mad one!!

MagzFarqharson · 24/02/2013 21:28

Kitty! My beautiful DD3 chooses to call herself this (real name Katie). And we have nothing to do with cats, as it goes.

Beatrix is nice, but can't help thinking about a) Peter Rabbit or b) that joke about the bloke in the pub juggling a pint of lager, a pint of bitter and a pint of guinness.Smile

AnathemaDevice · 25/02/2013 03:16

Kitty.

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 25/02/2013 04:50

We have an India in the family, grown woman, ages well, as started off as Indy when little.

Quite like Bea.

Don't like Kitty... sorry.

Astley · 25/02/2013 14:22

I love Beatrix. Strong yet beautiful.

I also really like India.

Kitty is nice for a child, but not for an adult.

DialMforMummy · 25/02/2013 15:16

India

PuddingWhine · 25/02/2013 15:19

Beatrix

Bue · 25/02/2013 15:30

Kitty - absolutely not without a proper birth certificate name. She needs a more adult option. I'd go with Beatrix but I like India too.

Northernbynature · 25/02/2013 16:27

Unless you want to look and sound like a woman looking for her cat in the playground, shouting 'Kitty, Kitty' and/or you want your child to think you named her after a cat, keep 'Kitty' for a nickname and perhaps call her Kate or Catherine.Smile

TiredyCustards · 26/02/2013 07:45

Love Kitty for a girl, how about Felicity as her full name to use later if she wants to?

BinarySolo · 26/02/2013 08:07

akissisnotacontract beat me too it! No to India as it's one Katie Hopkins daughters. (I use the same logic to veto Max with my dh!)

Not sure how Kitty will work as she gets older, though it is a lovely little girls name.

Beatrix is a good solid name and bea is rather sweet. I can imagine decorating things for her with bees and honey type motifs which could be quite cute.
