Finally made a compromise with my DH... I can have the very much loved first name I want, and he gets the middle name... (and surname obviously!!)

So what do you think of Seraphina Honey. (With a very popular J surname)

My 2 year old DD loves saying it Grin

I'm not a fan of Seraphina nor Honey but that's just personal preference

eggso · 20/02/2013 13:04

Sorry, I really really don't like 'Honey'. It's sickly and a bit silly imo. Seraphina is okay. Not a massive fan though.

Cassieyellow · 20/02/2013 13:41

Well done in getting your way. I really like Seraphina, and as a teacher it's nice to see something new but still 'classy' in my view. I think, however, go more traditional with the middle name.

fanoftheinvisibleman · 20/02/2013 13:44

It's not my cup of tea to be honest. I do luke feminine names so I don't know how to best articulate what I mean when I say it sounds too girly girly.

WizardofOs · 20/02/2013 13:49

Too sweet for me. Seraphina with a less cutsey middle name would be nicer.

YummyMummyFeelingFunny · 20/02/2013 14:05

Ooh it's gorgeous, a name to be proud of!

Sashapineapple · 20/02/2013 14:20

Seraphina is lovely. Honey is a dogs name to me, as 3 friends dogs are called that I can't imagine a little girl with the name. Sorry.

Gwennan · 20/02/2013 16:04

Seraphina is pretty because it sounds like a princess's name. If your daughter were a tomboy, I suppose she could go by Sera (Sarah) or Fee but it'd be nice if she had a less fussy middle name to fall back on. I think Honey is a bit twee, really. I'd go with something more traditional/plainer. Nothing wrong with Seraphina Jane or Seraphine Ruth, for example.

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 20/02/2013 16:05

I think it's absolutely gorgeous!

Beatrixpotty · 20/02/2013 18:41

I like it!

ImNotaPheasantPlucker · 20/02/2013 18:46

It's lovely. And an excellent compromise - go for it!

MrsHelsBels74 · 20/02/2013 18:49

Well I guess as a compromise you each get to chose a name but I HATE the name Honey, definitely a dog's name IMO.

Seraphina is too fussy and Disney-sounding for me. Honey is a bit 'exotic dancer'. It's a no from me.

NappiesandGladrags · 20/02/2013 20:58

Seraphina - lovely,

Honey - I'm not too sure, but then how often is a middle name used / called out?
