Angeline?

What do you think? Pronounced 'An-j-leen'. Would it be pronounced this way? Or would people think its a bit odd/made up?

My DH's favourite seems to be Evangeline and he prefers it over Angeline. He thinks there are more nn potentials (i think his favourite is Eva-too popular)

But i have a niggle about it. DD1's name begins with 'E' too and I worried Evangeline may be a bit OTT....not sure.

I thought we had agreed on 'Alice'. But the PIL have worried us both saying it will be shortened the same way DD1's is. Her name is Eleanor. So they think 'Ellie'-'Ali' and 'Elle'-'Al'.

Humpf. I seem to like a lot more names than he does so I don't want to completely dismiss this one.

I know an Angeline (An-jel-een) and an Angelica both nn Jelly.

I also know an Angelina nn Angel.

My favourite would be Angelica. Good luck choosing.

I LOVE Evangeline, it's beautiful, Angeline.. not so much. x

Evangeline is much nicer than Angeline although I'm not very keen on names ending in -ine in general. But think Alice is really bland so would probably go with Evangeline or go back to the drawing board.

Angelica is quite nice.

Alicia?

Thanks, ladies.

I DO like Evangeline-just not completely convinced. I think it's the initial matching her big sisters. Or am I over thinking? DH thinks I'm an idiot.

Angelica-wasn't that the sickly sweet one in Rugrats?

I like Alicia pronounced as in silverstone, but not alyeesha....
