Would 3 middle names be too much?

Probably - but depends on the names and the reasons!
Would not likely use more than one of them regularly.

So many names that I like :)) the last few friends who have had babies all have given 2 middle names. Just wondering if this was getting popular & if I could poss add another. Finding it so hard to make a final decision!

Mine have two middle names, all of them are the names of late family members. I see it as a way of keeping their memory alive for the next generation. Particularly as my sister died without having kids so my dd has her name as her middle name.

Hang onto some of those fave names for next DC!

Three middle names is a ridiculous amount IMO.

YummyMummyFeelingFunny · 18/02/2013 11:33

It's your baby, there is absolutely nothing wrong with having three. Will you regret it if you don't?

Gwennan · 18/02/2013 13:48

For me, 3 middle names are too many. It would be a PITA filling in forms.

I think you can get away with it more if the proposed name is closer to Emma Lucy Jane Isla than Hermione Persephone Josephine Francesca.

Curls78 · 18/02/2013 13:59

IMHO 3 middle names is rather alot! I would be asking myself why am I choosing that many? Is it to please other people (family members) or because of indecisiveness?

Also if you are planning other children, then you might want to leave some for them! Up to you though...the fact you are wondering if it is too many might be a clue tho! lol :)

Tell us the names so we can comment.

My boys both have 2 middle names. All names after members of both sides of family.

I like having names for a reason and not just randomly named.

canuck43 · 18/02/2013 14:52

I can remember laying on the delivery bed and saying to hubby, 1 baby with 4 names or 4 babies with 1 name, he said 1 baby with 4 names but we did go on to have another baby also with 4 names, second baby loves all 4 of his names, first baby and his names well thats another long story.

Queenie68 · 18/02/2013 14:54

I have another post going with the name options but think we will stick with one middle name as our surname has 3 syllables so ok become a bit of a mouthful :) so many lovely names to chose from I'm finding it very hard to make a final decision!

I have four. But I'm greedy! DD has two.
Your baby, your right to give it as many names as you fancy.
