I have a DS with an unusual name, but not crazy unusual and am trying to think of another boys name. I have come up with

Kai Lucas

Thoughts?

Kai is quite nice. I'm not keen on Lucas. What matters is not what we think, but what name YOU like and what name goes with the surname best.

Not my cup of tea - I like Lucas but not Kai. I like longer names and Kai just screams Wayne Rooney at me...

If you like it, go for it. Just be aware that it's really not that unusual. I think Cai is actually really popular in Wales and plenty of wannabe WAGs have named their babies after Kai Rooney, I'm sure.

Very popular name around my area, there are 4 in my ds nursery. It fits in with Jayden/Kayden type name, isn't Wayne Rooneys' son called that or similar?

Like Lucas, not so keen on Kai. I know 3, and there is a Caiden and Kailum in DDs preschool. Yes it is Rooneys boys name, not that many people would know that I think. But if you love it then don't worry what other think x

Kai cai caiden etc are very common round here. I wouldn't.

I would count both Kai and Lucas as very normal names There is a Kai and a Lucas in the small school (107 kids) my children attend. I know of 2 futher of each all baby to primary school age

Argh, I'm not familiar with WAG names or the name of Wayne Rooneys son so in my part of the world I thought it was quite unique... Hrm... Possible rethink!

Was it especially short, 3 or 4 letter names you're after?

Kai is awful and chav. And everyone will think you copied Rooney.

Levi is worse.

Lucas is much nicer but quite popular.

Alternatively, what about

Kier or Cass Instead of Kai?

Luka or Louie instead of Lucas?

Kier Louie has a nice sound to it.
