Quirky but not too quirky boys names

Hi All,

need your help again! We're having a DS in June and looking for a name. I had another thread a bit ago about DHs choice which was James which I don't like for a variety of reasons. I do like names like Noah, Toby, Sam, Arthur, and Fred but none of them feels exactly right. Can anyone inspire me with a short, quirky-ish name?

Lions hope you don't mind me keeping an eye on this thread. Lots of names on your list and other posts that are our taste and we need to narrow our list down.
I've only come across one Toby in three years so not popular near us in Yorkshire.
I love some of the suggestions here but Rowan and Toby are still top of our list Grin
Love Jude still but too close to ds1
Loving Mack and Tate too

I love Gage. Probably too quirky but I think it's lovely and rolls off the tongue easily. Zander or Xander is nice too.

I agree with Jude too...my DS, 10 weeks, is Jude Robert Grin

Wow my list is now huge! I love love love lots of these names. Beanstalk you're welcome! I'm also in Yorkshire. A lot of names that are really popular in the south take a while to take on here, I guess. I love Rowan too, but makes me think of the archbishop of C. Hmmm can I get past this? Grin. I don't any Tobys but I've loved the name since watching Labyrinth as a kid (muppets AND Bowie, what's not to love?). Thanks everybody, I'll get pruning that list Grin

lions he's not the Archbishop anymore! Grin so we're safe. There is still Rowan Atkinson though....... Every name has some association with someone else though. We're drawing up a longer list this afternoon over a late V's day lunch Smile so romantic ha!
