Lovely, or OTT? I love, but DH wants Emma and Thomas.

I think the striking problem here is your and your DH'a wildly differing tastes in baby names!

FWIW, I like Autumn but not Phoenix. Phoenix is forever associated with Mel B for me, which is not good.

Emma and Thomas are nice, but perhaps a little plain - I think this is what you might feel about those names?

Maybe figure out what meanings you'd like the names to have and take it from there?

Oh OK, which out of Autumn and Phoenix is the boy? I have known child one of each name and both were girls.

I like them! Think they go well together (I'm assuming Autumn is girl and Phoenix is boy!). But I agree you and your partner are clearly miles apart, so much so that you can't have one each, as Emma and Phoenix or Autumn and Thomas just don't seem right! Which go best with your surname?

I think you might have to meet in the middle with how "out there" the names are, and probably end up with neither of your first choice!

Oh I really like these names, they also go well together.I'm a lover of modern, funky names so Emma and Thomas do not float my boat.

Thanks all! Yes, Autumn for Dd and Phoenix for DS. We are getting closer. I've been a bit put off Phoenix after all the celebby comments. We have nearly agreed on Autumn Kate and Tate Spencer. ?

Sorry, Autumn and Phoenix are awful separately, and together are just unspeakable. Emma and Thomas are lovely names.

Think Spencer Is better as a first name, but SpencerTate sounds like a law firm or accountants or something. Spencer Thomas would be better. Glad you binned Pheonix.

I like Autumn and Emma a lot, Thomas is quite nice if a bit plain, don't really like Phoenix (bit pretentious) and really dislike Tate. Also like suggestions, Orla, Rafe and Felix. Have you considered Zander?
