Francesca / Jonah ? Need some inspiration!

DC2 arriving soon and still have no idea. Was originally thinking of Elsa for a girl but have been put off by the popularity of similar names like Elsie / Ella / Emily / Eva etc. Now considering Francesca and Jonah /Benedict for a boy. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Forgot to mention we live abroad so any name we choose is unlikely to get shortened as much as it might in the UK. But would allow Frankie for Francesca as I like that also.

To me Jonah = a Jonah = a jinx.

francesca is beautiful and so many potential nicknames. cute on a toddler and suits a teenager or an adult. i dont like jonah so much but then im not into biblical names.

We have very similar tastes op- we choose jonah for a boy and Francesca was on our short list - so you may like so of our other names
Boys names - Emmett, Henry, Carson
Girls names liked- Ivy, Edith, Georgia (our name of choice for DD)

Also when we told people Jonah for a boy a couple of people mentioned the bad luck thing but it didn't bother us it wasn't everyone and I remember the meaning to peace which is lovely
