I quite like Ira Ralph or Ira Morris.
Any other suggestions?
Our sir name begins with a 'G' and has two syllables

I don't think Ira Ralph flows well. The Ra sounds run into each other.
With Ira Alvy the As run into each other.

I like Ira Fergus, not so keen on Morris -- reminds me of Morris Minor.

Thats the best thing about the name Morris in our opinion!
Like Ira Hamish (considered it for a first name, but thought it was a bit much giving a child a name where the only real nickname is 'Ham'!)
