That's a tricky one, both good choices. I really can't say which I prefer. Do they sound okay with the surname? Any siblings already, does one name flow better with their name(s) than the other?

LynetteScavo · 25/01/2013 19:49

Both are really lovely. But I think they are different, so you'd need to look at the baby to see which one suited best.

Today I prefer Juno. Smile

MerylStrop · 25/01/2013 19:52

I think they are both absolutely beautiful names
But I wouldn't use either of them as they are such a lot to live up to, Juno especially.

meditrina · 25/01/2013 19:52

I have no idea what associations you mean!

I think Juno is a marvellous name, but I think Saskia is lovely too and probably more liveable-with.

sw11mumofone · 25/01/2013 19:56

I love Saskia - DH vetoed! :-(
To me Juno sounds like Australian slang for June!

hawkmcqueen · 25/01/2013 20:53

I really like Saskia, I think it's punchy and fresh. She'll have character and energy.

Juno is a bit of a wet squid for me, in fact, I really don't like it, it does nothing for me...

NowPlayingZone · 25/01/2013 20:56

Saskia is lovely. Sorry but I don't like Juno at all x

Bowlersarm · 25/01/2013 20:58

Either! Both lovely

SJisontheway · 25/01/2013 21:04

Prefer Juno

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 25/01/2013 21:04

Juno. I may in fact steal it for a future dd Grin

olivo · 25/01/2013 21:09

Sad I thought Juno was a boy's name Blush

HillBillySillyBilly · 25/01/2013 21:55

Thanks for all the comments, though it seems pretty evenly divided. Both sound lovely with our surname so that doesn't narrow I down. We have one ds already called Eli. I think both names sound nice with Eli....wdyt??

To some extent, nice as it is to have a name ready, sometimes when you see your baby for the first time, one name seems just right.

Both go nicely with Eli. Smile

Purely my gut reaction, Saskia to me sounds outgoing, fun, arty. Juno sounds more grounded, independent, once her mind's made up that's it. Sorry that's of no help to you at all!

Sunnysummer · 25/01/2013 22:41

Love them both so much! Would be on my shortlist if we were having a girl :) initially I liked Juno best, but got put off a bit after a friend (with a surname that's also a noun!) had one, and lots of people joked about it sounding like 'd'you know?". It's still a lovely name, but agree that Saskia might be easier to live with, and has more nickname options depending on her personality. Either is great though.

WickWackThurso · 25/01/2013 22:43

Juno wins for me.

HillBillySillyBilly · 26/01/2013 15:59

Grin @ do you know.....I have thought of that but I don't think it bothers me enough to reject the name on that basis. I'm glad you think they both go nice with Eli.

Saskia.

herecomesthsun · 26/01/2013 19:05

Hmm Sassy would be a nickname with a positive connotation (apart from sounding a bit like an item of Boden clothing)

catladycourtney1 · 26/01/2013 19:10

I prefer Juno. In fact, I considered it for my dd but I don't think I'd dare. Please use it, for me :) haha
