Casper the friendly ghost. But if you love it, go for it.

Really nice - classy. DS2 has a good friend called Casper. I like him too.

Or CaspAr? Two ways to spell? Both nice!

willyoulistentome · 25/01/2013 11:22

Happy - you have a classy dog!

Happyasapiginshite · 25/01/2013 11:23

Indeed I do Grin

This has recently hit my radar and I really like it. We have pretty much decided on a name if the bump is a little boy, so this is already on the list for any potential number 2 child that is also a little boy!

We're currently keen on Sebastian, but called Seb, and would go for a second boy with the Kasper spelling with a nickname of Kas/Kaz. (Short names go really well with our ridiculously long surname but I would like them to have the full versions on their birth certificate, official docs and to use if they want to when they are older)

I get the friendly ghost connection but most names are going to have some sort of connection to either something in popular culture, family or friends so I'm not too worried about it.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 25/01/2013 23:29

Love it.

Mellymog · 26/01/2013 10:41

I taught a Casper a few years ago and he was a really lovely young man.

emalushka · 26/01/2013 10:42

Love it. Love it. Go for it.

GW297 · 26/01/2013 11:45

I like it!

Starsandcars · 26/01/2013 17:01

Completely biased but its a beautiful name!

Mog37 · 26/01/2013 18:50

A family member has recently used Casper for her little boy. It's definitely grown on me now but must admit that we're finding it hard not to refer to him as "the friendly baby". But the film was years ago and I don't suppose it'll be on the radar of anyone he grows up with so if you like the name you should use it.

5madthings · 26/01/2013 18:52

Love it, its my nephews name :)

Bazinga12 · 26/01/2013 18:56

Love it, although I have one so may be bit biased.

mellowcat · 26/01/2013 18:57

Really like it but slightly prefer Caspian

5madthings · 26/01/2013 19:30

My nephew is Caspar rather than Casper tho.

Rowan1204 · 26/01/2013 21:34

I really like it! considering it for one of our twins. only thing is my in-laws parrot is called casper. hmmm.

Daiso · 27/01/2013 10:59

Absolutely love it.
This has been my favourite name for about 4 years now but my hubby is not keen so we went with another much loved name for our now 14mth old.

TheWave · 27/01/2013 13:47

I like it too. Good choice.

Rhubarbgarden · 27/01/2013 19:16

I like it. I don't think anyone will think you are strange; there are plenty around.

Gioulu · 27/01/2013 19:33

I love the name! It always makes me think of Danes, for some reason.

DaveMccave · 29/01/2013 12:30

I adore it. Was top of my boy list 6 years ago but I had a daughter. Very recently I've heard it crop up a few times, one was the mum from 16 kids and countings last baby (all her others very popular names). I am gutted as I think it may be one that picks up rapidly in popularity before I get a chance to use it.

Sasparillo · 29/01/2013 13:52

Caspar the friendly ghost! That's what I thought of straight away, I agree with one of the other pp's Caspian is nicer but I know of one little Caspian & he's referred to as Cassie (a bit girly for my liking) xx
