No

On the list for this one if its a boy. Love it!

No, sorry. It's a surname - and it's the man who ate his boots, and whose men almost certainly had to become cannibals too, if that bothers you at all!

Thanx, dp suggested it last night at first I was like no!! But the more I think about it the more it's growing on me, still not sure yet!

No.

Not keen I'm afraid. Frank okay, though not my cup of tea. Franklin just...no.

CityDweller · 17/01/2013 18:52

I quite like it. Although not hugely keen on 'Frank', which he'd probably get called. Although I guess you could push for another nn (Fran? Frankie?)

justalilmummy · 17/01/2013 18:54

I've already planned that if we choose Franklin I will call him Frankie 'Franklin' will be put on the birth certificate

It's my DS's middle name, I love it!

Fifi2406 · 19/01/2013 08:25

In love it

MyNameIsSuz · 19/01/2013 19:24

It's my son's name! Only 4 months old so can't tell you what he thinks, but we have had nowt but positive comments. We call him frankie or frankels, but he could also use fin or flynn if he wants to. It does sound like a surname or an American name (and there were two presidents with this as a first name) but it is actually an old English name meaning free man. Obviously i'm biased, but i say if you like it go for it!

weegiemum · 19/01/2013 19:26

Makes me think of FDR, or the ghastly Franklin Graham (of Samaratins Purse).

Not for us!

slug · 19/01/2013 19:53

It's my nephew's name. He's generally known as Frankie. Nowt wrong with it

Narked · 19/01/2013 23:07
