Babba 3 is due in Feb and we have no idea on boys names to go with Poppy and Archie. Our surname is tricky and the best names are those ending in y/ie sound. Names ending in A are a no-no for our surname. So far we have agreed on absolutely nothing!!! How can it be this hard especially when we have had 8 months to think about it!!! Girls names are sorted but we think we are having a boy. Help required please Mummies!!!

Thanks lovely people for your suggestions. Poor hubby, desperate for sleep and I'm ready for another names discussion with him!

Poppy, Archie & Jack or Harry is Lovely ( you've got the same taste names as me, we've got a Daisy & Charlie and like yours, our surname is a pain! We can't have names that end in n or s sounds! Drives me mad because it eliminates loads of names I like!!! Gggrrr) good luck deciding xx

How about these for your babba, considering you like -ie names:
Poppy, Archie and Charlie
Poppy, Archie and Billy
Poppy, Archie and Robbie
Poppy, Archie and Alfie
Poppy, Archie and Willie
Poppy, Archie and Toby
Poppy, Archie and Harry
Poppy, Archie and Bertie

Oscar or Jasper would go nice with your other dc names.

Littlecherublegs · 17/01/2013 09:51

I know a Poppy with brothers Charlie, Max and Rory (think you,ve already ruled these out though).

Other ie/y ending names:
Barney / Barnaby
Monty
Ollie
Bailey
Timothy
Jonny

Other suggestions:
Owen
Sebastian
Elliot
George
Leo
Milo
Evan

What about Rory with one of the other spellings like Ruaridh?

lucywiltshire · 17/01/2013 13:52

My favourite is Charlie, followed by Bertie and Oscar. The ONLY name hubby and I agree on is Hector and while we both like it neither of us LOVE it. So is it better to go with a name which one of us loves but the other doesn't like, or a name we both like but don't love? And what is the view on Hector?

OP posts:
Sasparillo · 17/01/2013 17:26

I'm really not keen on Hector, it's a bit much for my tastes, but I think it's better to go for something you agree on, and compromise, instead of pleasing one parent over the other xx

DH's are so annoying when it come to this baby naming business, they should let us pick Grin

What about Hugo, would that work?

Lachlan is a brilliant name, it's Lachie for a nn. You could have Lochlan aka Lockie! Brill Envy

Or

Finn,
Logan
Henry
Edward - Eddie or Ted

IMHO - I like Poppy, Archie and Hector

farmersdaugther · 17/01/2013 18:12
