I'm a Carys (but spelled slightly differently) and I get lots of compliments on it. I've never met another. Catherine zeta jones has a daughter called Carys :)

Oooh deemented Celyn is so pretty! I've only ever met one in real life. I've met just the one Sionedd as well. I don't live in a very Welsh speaking area,though recently there has been a boom in Welsh baby names bein used again.

I absolutely love this name, but having no Welsh connections whatsoever am not sure whether I could use it. But that may just be me (other DC have names with cultural significance so a Welsh one would seem like an odd fit after that), it is gorgeous whether you are Welsh or not.
