Any ideas not family related? My family is too big & don't want to offend anyone...

I know it depends of first names/surnames etc

Peoples opinions on Vanilla?

I love lilys theyre my fave flower & i'm covered in lily tattoos but lily is too common... Then i thought i love vanilla!

Stupid for a girls middle name or unique?

nice for a middle name, or Orchid

(not as first name)

Unique but a bit out there for me!

chewingguminmyhair · 10/01/2013 22:11

What about Fleur.

Or rose, if you like flowers?

JustBabyNMe · 10/01/2013 22:17

Rose is my grans middle name which is a shame because i liked that! Orchid is lovely!! Sounds a bit heavy though...

So you don't want to give a name in case you offend someone?

When baby is here you can just say, 'It's Rose. I like it. Shut up!'

I would anyway Wink

JustBabyNMe · 10/01/2013 22:33

This is the thing... My gran would love me to choose rose but she could get cocky & big headed about it boast to the rest of the family who would just be happy for me and my gran would be rubbing it in peoples faces...

I'd be happier settling for i middle name that i like without having relevance to anyone in particular :)

how about Liliana? you could still call her Lily

or Rosamund - shortened to Rosa

FunnysInLaJardin · 10/01/2013 22:54

not vanilla, too naff. So many things are described as vanilla meaning bland inc sex! We used my grandfathers middle names for our 2 boys, Thomas and David.

OkayHazel · 11/01/2013 23:29

Sarah 'Vanilla' Smith (for example) sounds like a dull prude. Don't do it!

ZooAnimals · 11/01/2013 23:59

I don't like Vanilla as a name.

I like middle names that have some meaning though, so I would go with family member, friend, place name that means something if it makes a nice name (not Didcot or Swindon or something).
