Me and DH are having a hard time picking out a girl name. He is Mexican and he wants a spanish name. His name is unique and my name is unique so we want an uncommon name that is spanish. We cannot decide. This is what we have come up with but any new UNIQUE suggestions are helpful. Let me know what you think.
Our List:
Asella
Ciel
Valencia
Ximena pronounced "He-Mayn-ah"
Mireya
Brizeida pronounced "Bree-zay-dah"
Calixta pronounced "Cal-ee-ta"
Ylora pronounced "Ee-lor-ah"

Ooh I love Ximena, Ylora and Mireya!

I think Calixta would would be mispronounced as Ca-licks-ta.

My family are Hispanic but have very common names and typically I can't think of any other names atm Grin

Good luck!

I love Ximena too.
I have been googling but I am not sure what would be unusual.I'm not sure about Brizeida- for some reason I see Bridezilla!

thanks I'll mention that to Dh @scurryfunge

I quite like Rocio but it sounds masculine and don't know whether it's very popular or not.

SpikyLikey · 06/01/2013 19:42

Ximena is lovely.

I am not sure how unusual these are, but these are some of my favourite Spanish names:

Yessenia
Naiara
Estrella
Amalia
Azura
Nazarena
Yara

LOVE Yara and Naiara !

@scurryfunge Rocio is masculine but I may use it for a male middle name

Marisol. What's not to love about a name that means sea and sun!

I also love Ines because it's pure class.

Ciel
Naiara
Amalia
Ines / z

Also really like Galena, Celesta, Perla

I have always liked the name Gala as in the wife of Salvador Dalí but I don't think you could use it in England !
