Twin Girls Names.... again...

Rowan1204 · 04/01/2013 11:54

So I have revisited my twin girls names again.

I really, really like -

Xanthe and Ophelia.
Xanthe and theadora ( nn Thea)

Middle names I like, which I will play around with (and are family related!)
Susan, Grace, Anne, Rose.

DH likes these but is concerned Ophelia is a bit too posh for us. My notion is that a name is only posh until 'un-posh' people use it! :)

We have a DS called Rowan.

Thoughts on the poshness?

The surname is Double barreled.

They both sound 'posh' to me Xanthe Parker-Bowles and Ophelia Parker-Bowles, but that is not a reason not to use them, anymore than being told your name is chavtastic. They go well together. If you love it - use it.

Xanthe and Ophelia are beautiful! You have good taste!

Ophelia Rose is lovely and flows well. I think you're best choosing single syllable middle names as the first names and double barrelled surname might be a bit much otherwise.

My son has a four letter first name to compensate for the double barrelled surname we've lumbered him with!
