Thoughts on William Joseph

What are your thoughts on this? We decided on this name for DS1 (due April) last night whilst I couldn't sleep, we were previously going for Joe but I wasn't overly struck with it. Both names are family names from our grandparents.

Do you think it is good / bad / average / lovely / boring / common...

My friend has just had a baby. His name is Joseph William

PotteringAlong · 31/12/2012 19:03

I have a William - I love it and think Joseph goes really well.

A great name. Won't be embarrassed. I like Joseph as a middle name.

Lovely!

LynetteScavo · 31/12/2012 19:11

Well, I love Joseph/Joe, so think you should have the names the other way round. Grin

exoticfruits · 31/12/2012 19:17

Either way is fine.

My DS middle name is William. Joseph is ok, pretty harmless but don't like Jo.
Both fairly common but not always a bad thing IMO!

ILoveSaladReallyIDo · 31/12/2012 19:23

I like it, I'd shorten it to Billy-Joe Grin

SecretSantaFix · 31/12/2012 19:24

I have a nephew Joseph. He is always called Joseph. It's a lovely name, really classic. Both William and Joseph are.

Skiffen · 31/12/2012 19:30

Dd1 was going to be William Joseph
Dd2 we'd changed to Joseph William

Love both versions.

Love it! I would consider it either way around, but particularly William Joseph.
