Distracting myself from the fact I'm having an amnio next week by focusing on the fact I'm going to find out if its a boy or girl! So what do you think of these names?

Seraphina Rose
Amelie Rose

Sebastian James
Jasper James
Dexter James
Samuel James
Harry James

Or James as a first name with some other middle name? (James is a family name.)

Our surname is fairly common and starts with J and we already have a Matilda Daisy.

Thanks!

Serafina Fleur keeps the floral theme.

Like Seraphina - very pretty and fairly unusual. Amelie feels faddy to me and is getting very popular now as an alternative to Emily/Amelia. Not keen on the mn Rose as it feels like a 'default' choice to me.

I like Jasper best out of your boys' choices, but not sure if Jasper J.... would be too alliterative. Sebastian's good too. Dexter seems a bit of the moment and the other two are fine but very popular.

Good luck with the amnio!

Ooh! We have a Dexter Miles.Great name!

ManicMuppetMania · 30/12/2012 17:01

Ooh Seraphina is just gorgeous! I prefer it spelled with a ph. Jasper James is also fantastic! Congrats!

Love Sebastian James.
Don't like Seraphina - I think it sounds a bit try hard, sorry.

curiousgeorgie · 30/12/2012 20:20

I'm pretty much sold on Seraphina but my DH prefers Amelie so just trying to win that war Wink

Love Seraphina, Amelie feels very faddy to me too. Sebastian for me ou of your boy choices.

GaryBuseysTeeth · 30/12/2012 20:35

Sebastian, Dexter, Samuel, Jasper are all lovely, I dislike Harry.
I wouldn't use James as a first name because I don't like the nicknames Jim or Jamie, so think it's a great middle name.

I like Seraphina & Rose but not a big fan of Amelie.

eachtigertires · 30/12/2012 20:45

I prefer Amelie for a girl and Samuel or James for a boy.
