Name for DS3

Stuck with boy's names for my (very likely to be!) DS3. My 2 boys are called Alexander and Oliver. If we do have a girl, we like the names Lucy or Rosalind. We have a short surname beginning with c and rhymes with book so I would quite like a longer first name to balance it out. My DH has suggested Zachary but I'm not sure shortened it goes with our surname as too many 'c' sounds. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Joshua
Daniel
Samuel

Thanks for the suggestions jkklpu. Daniel is out as it's DH's name and DH isn't keen on Joshua. I like Samuel but not sure about Sam. You can see why we are struggling to agree on one Xmas Grin

We call our DS3 by DS1 and DS2's names in quick succession e.g. AlexOliver.

I think we did give him his own name when he was born but we have forgotten it, we never got it right so perhaps you should just name him Alexoliver then you won't feel bad about calling him the wrong name all the time?

Even other people seem to get our DS3 name muddled up with the other 2.

The flip side is that he is a very cheery, laid back, happy and adorable 3rd so he doesn't hold it against us.

what?

TopCat1881 · 22/12/2012 17:32

Well I do already call the other 2 "Olivander" or "Olex" so maybe that might be a good idea. What is your DS3 called btw? Other names I've contemplated are Lucas, Edward, Jonathan and Benjamin.

Ooh now I quite like Gregory and just looked up it's meaning "watchful, vigilant" which I like also. Certainly got me thinking that one!

Zak Cook is too 'ck'-y and Sam Cook is just wrong after the singer.

Greg Cook is cool, as is Miles Cook, Harry Cook, Tate Cook, Jasper Cook and Rowan Cook.

Ummofumbridge · 22/12/2012 20:41

Henry
Jacob
Richard
Reuben
Isaac
Elijah
Evan

Agree Gregory is lovely. Another favourite of mine is Vincent.

That's a lovely group to choose from OP. From your girls names I prefer Rosalind (my cat is called Lucy).
