What do you think? Ozias? does it sound good or bad? Is an old English name but not sure if it is too much on the side of pretentious......

I love it. Its in my family tree but i got told no way!!

In my family tree when many people couldnt write for themselves sometimes it was written ozias and other times oziah so i often doubted my pronounciation.

Isn't it a biblical name rather than an old English name - although I appreciate it may have been used historically in England? I like it.

I really dislike the sound of the 'Oz' syllable, how about Isaiah as an alternative?

Tinkerisdead · 21/12/2012 17:05

Yes i too thought it was biblical. A quick google shows ozias- Ussiah king if judah. Does that mean it is indeed pronounced osiah then?

Totally new one on me. Is it "Oh-zy-as"? Or "Oz-eye-us"?

Like it, there'll be a lot of "What?", "Could you spell that?" though.

Love Ozias and I'd say Oh-zy-as. Great name!
