A sister for Ivy

Please please help me think up a simple but interesting name for my second daughter. I want it to be uncommon, easy to spell and does NOT have to be of the same era as Ivy (I don't really want to theme my kids names)

Ivy is gorgeous :) my DD has a little friend Ivy, it's lovely (I've even got over ivy tilsley!)

I like Pearl very much and had it on my list for DS if he'd been a girl. Opal is nice too and Orla.

What about Caroline, Alexandra, Mary?

Also think Janet, Linda, Angela, Jean and Susan are due humongous comebacks, very pretty names IMO and not "out there" but unusual for a baby.

tsetohje · 20/12/2012 12:46

Ooh and Anne.

Jasbro · 20/12/2012 13:15

Thanks everyone - really liking some of the suggestions. Many have already been on my shortlist - either there's a limited amount of names out there or we're all on a similar wavelength where names are concerned!
Thanks for the nice comments on Ivy - when she was born 4 years ago, I had a lot of people who were lukewarm about the name choice, but since then I do get a lot of positive comments.

Ivy was my top girl name - my second was Iris. I know some people disapprove of siblings having names with the same letter, but hey ho.

MoonHare · 21/12/2012 17:10

Ivy was on our shortlist for DD3, love it. I too thought Esme (Ez-may) when I saw your post. Also how about:
Imogen
Verity
Ursula
Tabitha
Anita
Vita
Harriet

MoonHare · 21/12/2012 17:13

Ooh forgot about Thea.

howcomes · 21/12/2012 17:18

I know an Ivy with a little sister Ella, both lovely names.

flowerygirl · 21/12/2012 17:54

Ivy and Pearl together are my favourite, what lovely names!

Wishfulmakeupping · 21/12/2012 19:56
