How did your name you children?

Did you name after family names, names you liked? Etc.
my dc are :
Finley Andrew
Veronica Margaret
Darcey Jane
Samuel William

All first names were names we both loved.
Andrew is my husbands name and Jane my name. William was my husbands fathers name and Margaret my mothers name.
How did you choose your dc/dcs name/s

I thought it would be nice for a son to be called Carlton which is a family name that is the first name of 3 cousins, my grandpa's first name - anyway, DH is Scottish and when he says Carlton it comes out like Carolton. So he put the kibbosh on that and after pondering over a beer, offered the alternative Carter.

We both loved it and DS is Carter James Spencer (Spencer after my brother who battled so bravely with cancer and lost his battle in June this year).
