We've not managed to agree on a girls name in the last 7 months, and are getting tired of suggesting and discussing names.

Lovely mumsnetters, please tell us what we should call a daughter. Thank you.

Katherine/Katharine
Hannah
Harriet (depends how you feel about sharing initials)
Jemima
Alice (love Hugh with Alice actually)!
Ruth
If you like Seren, what about Tamar or Kerenza?
Laura rather than Lauren?

Georgina? Cressida?

I had an aunt called Millicent but we called our DD Mélisande - the French version

FunnyBird · 15/12/2012 17:10

The Hugh I know had a sister called Deborah.

Isabella. Or is that too frilly. I like Iris Grace Verity.

Seminyak · 15/12/2012 17:11

Zoe,
Portia,
Violet,
Merryn,
Charlotte,
Cherry
Farrah
Ramona
Avril
All quite un-frilly and on my shortlist :)

Itsjustmeanon · 15/12/2012 17:11

I like Helena. Some of the names mentioned are very nice, but already used by family and close friends.

We loved Ffion, but SIL had a daughter first, and took it.

Esther, Orla, Martha, Nia, Linden, Bethan, Corinne, Ellen, Hazel, Imogen, Maia, Nadine, Tamsin, Vivienne.

I love Marin, Malin and also Murren (two of those suggested above)

Serena as a compromise with DH?

Itsjustmeanon · 15/12/2012 17:16

I like Clara, Freya and Vivienne. Not so keen on Viv as a shortening for Vivienne.

Clara has previously been discussed but DH hates it.

Sounds like with Seren & Ffion you're considering welsh names so how about
Carys, Elin, Delyth, Eluned, Rhiannon, Betsan, Meredith, Manon?
All non-frilly & very lovely in my opinion
