Girls middle name suggestions needed!

I have a girl's name picked out and was going to go with Rose as a middle name. I really like it but it is extremely popular so need some different suggestions other than the usual Jane, Louise, Mae/May!

Help me please!

Give us a clue! Those names are popular for a reason, they go well with a lot.

flowerygirl · 15/12/2012 16:17

Girl's name I've picked is Sylvie!

We've gone for Isabelle-Seren. Its means star and luck. We like unusual names and that just fitted but it took ages to decide. I originally like Isabelle-Michelle, but the rhyme put me off. If you think it fits go with it :)

LaurenCaddy · 15/12/2012 16:19

p.s. Sylvie-Mae is beautiful!

flowerygirl · 15/12/2012 16:20

Seren is a lovely choice! Very feminine. Sylvie-Seren is a bit much though! Do you think Rose fits with Sylvie?

Sylvie-Rose is pretty too. But i personally prefer it with Mae. There so traditional! If your not sure, you could always pick out of a hat. We ended up doing that to get Isabelle!

Sylvie Rose is nicer than Sylvie Mae

RooibosWithMilk · 15/12/2012 17:00

I think Sylvie Rose sounds lovely. And because Sylvie is a bit more unusual it probably doesn't matter about Rose being quite popular?

flowerygirl · 15/12/2012 17:12

Yeah that's what I was hoping RooibosWithMilk!

I really love the name Sylvie and currently not in the top 100 names, although apparently it has been more popular this year...

I think it's a lovely name and a bit different, without being weird/unusual for the sake of it! If that makes sense?

Sylvie Rae?

Merrycuckingfistmas · 15/12/2012 19:40

Sylvie Rae.

Jollyb · 15/12/2012 19:41

I like Sylvie Kate or Sylvie Grace

Merrycuckingfistmas · 15/12/2012 19:41

Whoops xpost sorry :)

Sylvie Rose sounds lovely as a combination

I think you need 1 or 3 syllables, not 2. How about:
Sylvie Alexa
Sylvie Anne
Sylvie Brooke
Sylvie Claire
Sylvie Diana
Sylvie Eve
Sylvie Elle
Sylvie Eliza
Sylvie Francesca
Sylvie Faye
Sylvie Grace
Sylvie Georgina
Sylvie Helena
Sylvie Isola
Sylvie Joanna
Sylvie Jade
Sylvie Joy
Sylvie Jay
Sylvie Kate
Sylvie Lorelei
Sylvie Maria
Sylvie Miranda
Sylvie Matilda
Sylvie Natasha
Sylvie Pearl
Sylvie Rebecca
Sylvie Ruth
Sylvie Rosaline
Sylvie Tess
Sylvie Tallulah
Sylvie Tiana
Sylvie Viola

flowerygirl · 16/12/2012 09:59

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions manicinsomniac, they are great!

I think Rose is still my favourite though! Sylvie Kate a close second :)

Sylvie Ruth? Sylvie Rachel? Sylvie Robin? Sylvie Rowan? I like Sylvie Rae - I think Sylvie goes really well with R names as a mn it appears!

shoppingtrolley · 17/12/2012 13:31

I think Sylvie Anne is nice. Sylvie Ellen is nice too.
Or why not go with a variation? Sylvie Rosalind for example.
Or something wackier like Sylvie Red! I like that.

shoppingtrolley · 17/12/2012 13:32

Oh I like the suggestions from LondonElf too

flowerygirl · 17/12/2012 18:09

I agree Sylvie goes with R middle names!

How about Sylvie Violet? I really liked Sylvie Pearl but I think it sounds too much like Silver Pearl, like a piece of jewellery!
