Neither. It's nice though.

CajaDeLaMemoria · 15/12/2012 11:28

It's... Neither, I think.

I mean, charity's child is called noah isn't he? And I don't think anyone on Emmerdale is too posh!

We had a few noahs at our local nursery too.

Ignore people who raise their eyebrows. They clearly think they should be consulted on all baby naming!

SweetMingePie · 15/12/2012 11:28

It's a lovely name. It was on my list do ds3 and I live in a working class are.

RightUpMyRue · 15/12/2012 11:29

Not particularly either. Very nice though. I'm considering it for this baby.

cece · 15/12/2012 11:33

Not either I would say. Although it is popular.

FelicityWasSanta · 15/12/2012 11:34

It classless I think. Found in every walk of life.

FelicityWasSanta · 15/12/2012 11:34

It's

LaurenCaddy · 15/12/2012 15:49

I really like the name Noah. It is really popular atm, like Freya for a girl. I don't think it has a class or stereotype. Its nice and traditional :)

Pipsytwos · 15/12/2012 15:57

It's a beautiful name! If I have a son they'd either be Noah Edward or Henry Edward. My daughter's name always raises eyebrows! It's not a class thing though, it's just it's unusual. Noah has only become a popular name recently so it's only little ones that have it, so maybe it's more the people who haven't heard it rather than a class thing.

ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 15/12/2012 16:00

I wouldn't have said either - but if forced to make a decision I'd go more 'posh' than 'chavy'. I'd say probably fairly unusual in most working class areas, though it's becoming more common so he's not likely to be the only Noah at school.

bigkidsdidit · 15/12/2012 16:01

It's neither. Like James. Or David. Just a normal name.

I really like it and am considering it for this dc

skratta · 15/12/2012 16:04

It's a lovely name! It isn't either really, it sounds like quite a normal, quite handsome name and not really associated with any stereotypes. It's a great name.

Snowflakepie · 15/12/2012 16:12

I like it, don't think it has a class attached. I know 2 and they are from just normal families, nice but not posh. It's a great classic name, don't fret x

TheCatInTheHairnet · 15/12/2012 16:20

It's a cute name! And if you like it, who cares if people think it's posh or chavy?!

I've said it before, but DD's name was pretty unheard of when we called her it. Now it's incredibly popular and I'm pretty sure some people would regard it as a bit chavy. I don't care! It suits her.

Viviennemary · 15/12/2012 16:21

It's neither. I'm not keen on it myself but it's all a matter of taste. And if you like it that's fine. Absolutely nothing wrong with it.

It's classless to me. And lovely.

DaveMccave · 16/12/2012 00:03

It's equal I think. It's only become popular in the last decade or less though, so those not had children or worked in child care in that time would find it unusual.

InTheBoonies · 16/12/2012 07:24

Neither, it's too faddy to be posh but it's not chav. I'd say it's like Joshua. I've seen that named used across a wide section of people.

simplesusan · 18/12/2012 00:10

I don't think of it as either.

Sinkingfeeling · 18/12/2012 00:21

Neither. It's Biblical, therefore transcends class and culture. :) Nice name.
