Oliver James goes well but Oliver has become very popular in the last few years.

Kaine James doesn't flow too well.

I think Oliver is your best for that middle name IMO.

MmmnoodlesoupIsDueXmasEve · 15/12/2012 11:07

Yes, Oliver is kind of our back up name if we can't decide! It has become so popular recently which does put me off a little.

You're right about James Kaine

Do you really like James?

Sounds like you are just 'going with it' and not 'loving it.'

I think you need a long name to go with James.

James Sebastian
James Malachi
James Benedict

MmmnoodlesoupIsDueXmasEve · 15/12/2012 11:12

Yes I do, it's my fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers name etc so very important to me.

I'm not sure about a long name because the surname is quite fussy and double barrelled

James Oliver then.

Thanks :)

Some of those names are just awful (sorry) - Conan, Nolan, Marlow...

My DS is James Franklin, his dad picked his middle name and I wasn't keen originally but love it now

ScatterGotStuckUpTheChimney · 16/12/2012 12:26

I know a couple of James Arthur's which I quite like.

Umm, James William perhaps?

ChunkyPickle · 16/12/2012 12:26

Interesting to see Marlow there - I really like it, although was thinking about it for a girl's name (not that I need one, just in general)

James Oliver definitely has a classic feel about it - I can't imagine you would ever regret calling your son it.

CindySherman · 16/12/2012 12:32

James Christopher

CarriMarie · 16/12/2012 13:05

I know a Cameron James, Adam James and Marcus James.

Alisvolatpropiis · 16/12/2012 15:10

Alexander?

StellaNova · 16/12/2012 15:15

James Michael
James Nathaniel

James Oliver makes me think Jamie Oliver

Ruffello · 16/12/2012 15:18

James Daniel - my own DS' name!

MrsIcarus · 16/12/2012 15:23

Samuel James?

James Oliver reminds me of Jamie Oliver. Oliver James is great though.

MmmnoodlesoupIsDueXmasEve · 16/12/2012 20:28

Thank you everyone. I do like Oliver a lot

James Alexander would have been my friend's baby if she'd had a boy. Just remembered that!

FayKnights · 16/12/2012 22:40

I've got a James William, he's blooming gorgeous if that helps! I only knoea couple of Oliver's and they are all sweethearts.

annelid · 17/12/2012 13:12

James Aaron

pinkandyellowbutterfly · 17/12/2012 23:26

everlong: :-( :-( xx (Indeed a lovely name.)

noodlesoup: I think you've got a really interesting shortlist there. Marlow is very sophisticated indeed, nice choice.
