Cute nickname; I knew a Nelina.

Stonefield · 15/12/2012 06:17

Love it. Though I do know a lot of dogs called nellGrin

Good, strong name Smile

Nearly used for my DD but was pipped at the post by a long name you can make lots of NN from.

I strongly recommend as although I don't regret the name I chose I do like Nell just as much. Go for it!

McKayz · 15/12/2012 06:22

I really like Nell

Northernexile · 15/12/2012 06:22

I like it. Think you need a surname with at least a couple of syllables though for it to work, not, say Smith...

VBisme · 15/12/2012 08:11

I would think its a nickname and your DD is called Helen, Helena or Eleanor (all of which are pretty names), and I think Nell is a great NN

I really considered Nell for my daughter - only put off by knowing a dog called that too! Sorry. I love it though. I went for Nancy - still love it!

Lovely. I know one little girl who spells it Nelle as well.

CecyHall · 15/12/2012 08:29

Both the pregnant people in Neighbours have been fighting over the name Nell. So, popular in Ramsay Street if that helps at all!

AgathaTrunchbull · 15/12/2012 08:48

My cousin's nicknamed this by her parents (and by nobody else). Her name's Eleanor.
