Any opinions on this name? Which spelling is preferable? I'm leaning towards Isabel.

I prefer Isabel.

Alisvolatpropiis · 27/11/2012 15:46

Oh and it's a very nice name! Thought you were just asking about the spelling not general thoughts as well.

TomDaleysTrunks · 27/11/2012 16:16

Mine is Isobel. Prefer Isabel over the two!

butterflybuns · 27/11/2012 16:43

Mine is an Isabel so obviously prefer that spelling.

strawberryswing · 27/11/2012 18:12

Isabel out of the two, but i prefer Isobel than both

EverlongLovesHerChristmasRobin · 27/11/2012 19:15

I prefer Isabelle because I would shorten it to Belle.

CharlieBlanche · 27/11/2012 19:28

Can I add Ishbel into the mix?

Geranium3 · 27/11/2012 21:47

definitely isabel,far classier!

exoticfruits · 27/11/2012 22:07

Isabel

EarnestDullard · 27/11/2012 22:10

I have an Isobel, which is the Scottish spelling. Isabel is Spanish, Isabelle is French. So it goes without saying that I like the name Grin but out of the two you've mentioned, I prefer the French spelling.

MonsterBookOfTinsel · 27/11/2012 22:13

I prefer Isabelle, more choice in shortenings :)

PotteringAlong · 27/11/2012 22:22

Isobel for me!

slartybartfast · 27/11/2012 22:23

isabelle or isobel would be my question

but, it isnt yours, so i guess, isabelle

slartybartfast · 27/11/2012 22:25

what about isabella?

Alisvolatpropiis · 28/11/2012 01:46

Earnest where does Ishbel fit in? I'm sure I came across it whilst reading Ian Rankins Rebus series?

AgnesBligg · 28/11/2012 01:49

Isobel, would be my choice. Beautiful.

Mu1berries · 28/11/2012 07:38

Isabel or Isobel definitely. No extra letters.

BehindLockNumberNine · 28/11/2012 07:41

Isobel. 'Tis the only way.
Not Isabel. And definately not Isabelle.

BehindLockNumberNine · 28/11/2012 07:41

Ishbel is Scottish. My SIL is scottish and that is her dd's name. Lovelly Smile

BehindLockNumberNine · 28/11/2012 07:42
