DH is being very difficult over it all and would prefer to just use the first two names we settled on Scarlett and Noah. To me that's just plain lazy.

DH rules are No contractions of names but he doesn't mind an everyday nickname and nothing too unsual.
I like unusual names but I'm finding I'm playing it safe due to DH so if you can't think of a 'normal' name that lends itself to a more uncommon NN I would be very grateful. I also like biblical names.
We are Scottish so any Scottish names that aren't Rory, Arran or Finley would be welcome too.

So far I have Alexander shortened too Zander and Isadora for a girl.

How long have you got to wait? I'm sure there will be plenty of compromise names out there! Have PMed you btw.

It's May but DH wants to have a fair idea of names now. Plus he's going to be very difficult over it and I really don't want to be arguing while I'm mentally preparing for birth or worse when the baby has arrived.

So now DH has thrown his teddy out the pram I'm doing it my own way.

For boys Ivo is back on the list.

Girls
Penelope
Matilda
