Thoughts on Miley

I like this name and thinks it goes well with my DD's name which is Erin. What do you think?

I think it's horrible.

And it makes me think of Miley from Glenroe

I'm Irish, and it was the name of one of the main characters in a long-running soap called "Glenroe". He was a grumpy, middle-aged farmer...

Erin is Irish too so prehaps it could work on some level

Makes me think of Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana!
How about Milly?

I dont like Milly as I see it as more of a "cutesy" baby name whereas I see Miley as having a bit of attitude and can actually imagine an adult with the name.

Sorry but it's really dire. Reminds me of that dreadful Miley Cyrus person.

I think it'd be bad on a child, terrible on an adult woman.

It's worth noting that Miley is Miley Cyrus' nickname, from "smiley", it is not her "real" name.

I have come across a couple of very young Mileys and sorry, I don't like it, I think it's chavvy.

There are so many pretty names you could use. Please don't saddle your child with that name.

Girls' names that go with Erin (nice name btw): Lucy, Amy, Amelia (and you could call her Miley as an unofficial nickname if you really had to), Lily, Emily, Anna, Sadie, I could go on.

It would make me think of Miley Cyrus, as in Hannah Montana. As said already Miley was originally just her nickname, not her real name (think that was Destiny), although I think she has now changed her name formally to Miley.

I like Miley a lot.....It sounds like I'm alone on that one though!

I like Miley too but I would use it as a nickname. Then you could say it evolved from her full name and people wouldn't think you named her after Miley Cyrus!

There could be a hundred perky American starlets called Miley in the world and still the first person that springs to mind when hearing that name is a certain craggy faced farmer from Glenroe.

Combine it with Erin and I'd think you were a Glenroe superfan!
