I have a friend who is determined to call her hypothetical future child this.

Her inspiration is Arthur Conan Doyle but her partner keeps yelling 'barbarian barbarian barbarian' every time she brings it up.

She remains undeterred.

It is a pleasant sounding name. I'd go for it if you love it.

Ah, it's another of DH's suggestions. I actually think its a nice name, but yes I do mentally add in 'the barbarian' every time I hear it.

HTH For what its worth, I love that film and Conan sounds good to me.
I would probably steer clear if it was me, but then I also turned down DH's heroic pictish suggestions of Gartnait, Alpin and Nechtan
